Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use Gimmi to run or take part in a golf society.
Acceptance
By creating an account or using Gimmi, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree to them, please don't use Gimmi.
Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your country to create an account.
User responsibilities
- Provide accurate information for your profile and any society you organise.
- Use Gimmi lawfully and respect other players and society members.
- Don't attempt to disrupt the service or access data that isn't yours.
Society ownership
The person who creates a society is its owner by default, and can assign organiser roles to other members. Owners and organisers are responsible for the accuracy of their society's fixtures, membership and published results. Gimmi provides the tools; running the society fairly is the organiser's responsibility.
Public pages
Societies and events marked public are visible to anyone with the link, without requiring an account - this is intentional, so results and leaderboards can be shared with the wider club. Organisers choose what's public and can change this at any time.
Early access terms
Gimmi is currently offered through an early access launch programme to a limited number of Founding Societies. Features, scoring calculations and the interface may change as we learn from real use, and occasional bugs are more likely than in a fully mature product. See our Founding Societies page for what that means in practice.
Availability
We aim to keep Gimmi available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We'll aim to give notice of planned maintenance where practical.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Gimmi to harass, abuse or impersonate another person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another society's data.
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service.
- Upload unlawful, defamatory or infringing content to a society or public page.
Intellectual property
Gimmi's software, design and branding belong to Gimmi. Your society's own content - its name, logo, member data and results - remains yours; you grant us only the licence needed to store and display it as part of running the service.
Limitation of liability
Gimmi is provided "as is" as part of our early access launch programme. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for losses arising from use of the service, including disputes over competition results, handicaps or prize allocations - organisers remain responsible for verifying these for their own events.
Termination
We may suspend or remove an account or society that breaches these terms. You can stop using Gimmi and request deletion of your account at any time.
